Gedling Country Park has several entrances and car parks are situated on Spring Lane, Mapperley and Lambley Lane in Gedling village.

Please note, the Lambley Lane entrance is not suitable for pushchairs or people with mobility problems.

From Nottingham city centre by bus

The park is accessible by foot at all times.

Nottingham City Transport Sky Blue Service 47 provides a regular service to the Spring Lane bus stop, located directly outside the entrance to Gedling Country Park. 

Nottingham City Transport Red Services 44 and 44A run along Arnold Lane, alongside the junction with Lambley Lane. It is a short walk along Lambley Lane to the car park and southern entrance onto the park via the recreation ground.

From Nottingham city centre by car

Please use postcode NG4 4PE on a SatNav to reach the main car park on Spring Lane, Mapperley.

From Nottingham City Centre:

• Head north on A60/Mansfield Road (0.2 mile)
• Turn right on to B684/Woodborough Road (3.5 miles)
• Turn right on to Spring Lane towards Mapperley (1 mile)
• Arrive at the main entrance to the park on your right.

There is a £2 all day car parking charge (pay by cash, card or app) at the Spring Lane car park.

If the Spring Lane entrance car park is full,  there is another car park at Lambley Lane Recreation Ground (NG4 4PA). 

  • Turn right out of the car park and continue along Spring Lane
  • Turn right onto Lambley Lane 
  • Turn right onto Colliery Way
  • Turn left to return to Lambley Lane 

  • Arrive at the car park on your right. 

Walk across the recreation ground to get to the south entrance of the country park.

Please note that both car parks have a 2 metre height restriction.
